ROME – On Friday, October 31, 2025, the financial police of the Rome provincial command executed the order issued, at the request of the Rome Public Prosecutor's Office, by the local Criminal Court's Preventive Measures Section. This order ordered the seizure, due to disproportionate seizure, of assets valued at over €106 million, attributable to four Roman entrepreneurs deemed socially dangerous. Following previous investigations conducted by Rome's Economic and Financial Police unit, the individuals were found to be seriously suspected of belonging to a criminal organization, aggravated by having facilitated mafia-type organizations, committed to the commission of multiple tax crimes, as well as consequent money laundering, self-laundering, and reinvestment of criminally obtained funds in economic activities. For these acts, they were subjected to personal precautionary measures in April 2021, as part of the investigation involving the company "Maxpetroli Italia."

In particular, the thorough investigations conducted by the Organized Crime Investigation Group (GICO), a branch of the aforementioned PEF unit, have provided evidence that the individuals involved pose a threat to society, given their consolidated criminal conduct, as evidenced by numerous specific criminal records. This has allowed them to accumulate significant financial resources, sufficient to sustain a standard of living disproportionate to their declared income. With this order, the Preventive Measures Section of the Court of Rome has ordered the seizure of real estate units located in the municipalities of Rome, Fiumicino (Rome), and Olbia (Sassari), motor vehicles (including luxury vehicles) and motorcycles, the business assets of companies linked to the proposed suspects, valuable watches, and works of art (already subject to criminal seizure as part of previous activities). Among the properties seized by the seizure order is a villa with direct access to the sea , complete with a private platform and boat docking facilities at Punta Lada, near Porto Rotondo (Olbia). The order is the result of the efforts of the Rome Court, the Rome Public Prosecutor's Office, and the Guardia di Finanza (Financial Police) as part of strategies to seize assets acquired by individuals who habitually live off the proceeds of criminal activities or which represent the proceeds or reinvestment of illicit activities.
